Apparently cyclops' are born once in every 1 million. Wait... is it *born* or is it *conceived*? Anyway...
A cyclops was born in India recently, with the article noting that doctors recommended abortion but the parents declined. Fucking cool!
See, I'm convinced the *myths* of ancient Greece & Rome are amped up versions of real stories, just like your buddy's fishing trip last year & most of the crap in the Bible.
Near the end of the article is a mention of a recent cyclops born in St. Petersburg. It wasn't IDed as such until 7 months in, & it died shortly after birth. Additionally interesting is the proboscis protruding from its forehead, through which it was BREATHING!!!
My big question is: did it die of natural causes, or was it put out of what was assumed to be its misery? Which begs a second question: how often does physical deformity get infanticided when not aborted? As in this case, do the parents go ahead & the doctors in their *wisdom* murder in secret? I try to think of a doctor acting altruistically & not murdering under any circumstance, but we know how flawed human beings are. Doctors have the power to force medications that are unwanted & withhold meds that are needed, the former out of sense of duty & the latter out of arrogant belief.
I lost my train of thought.
Wouldn't it be cool if the Indian kid grew up to pioneer Bollywood horror films?
